SUM:NOTES (“SUM:NOTES,” “I,” “me,” or “my”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information I may collect when you visit the SUM:NOTES website, contact me, subscribe to SUM:NOTES communications, book a coaching session, or work with me, and how that information is used.

Information I may collect

Depending on how you interact with SUM:NOTES, I may collect:

  • Contact information, such as your name and email address.
  • Booking information, such as the information you provide when scheduling a coaching session.
  • Information you choose to share with me, including information you share through email or during coaching conversations.
  • Payment and billing information when you purchase coaching services. Payments and invoices may be processed through Stripe.
  • Email subscription information if you choose to receive communications from SUM:NOTES.
  • Information needed to provide and administer coaching services, including information necessary to schedule sessions and communicate with you.

How I use your information

I may use personal information to:

  • Provide and administer coaching services.
  • Respond to your questions and communications.
  • Schedule and manage coaching sessions.
  • Process payments and maintain appropriate business and financial records.
  • Send you SUM:NOTES communications that you have requested or subscribed to receive.
  • Operate and maintain the SUM:NOTES website.
  • Comply with applicable legal, accounting, or other obligations.

I do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

SUM:NOTES uses third-party services to help operate the website and provide services. These providers may process personal information as necessary to provide their services.

These services currently include:

  • Google Workspace and Google Calendar, for email and calendar.
  • Cal.com, for appointment scheduling and booking management. Cal.com processes booking information and relevant calendar availability information to schedule appointments and prevent conflicts, in accordance with its own privacy policy.
  • Whereby, for video coaching sessions. Google Meet may also be used for some sessions.
  • MailerLite, for managing email subscriptions and sending SUM:NOTES communications.
  • Stripe, for payment processing and invoicing.
  • Netlify, for website hosting.

Coaching conversations

Coaching conversations are intended to be private and confidential, subject to any legal or ethical obligations that may apply.

I take reasonable steps to protect information shared with me in connection with coaching. However, no method of electronic communication or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Coaching sessions may be conducted using third-party video conferencing services such as Whereby or Google Meet. These services may process certain personal or technical information in connection with providing their services.

Email communications

If you choose to subscribe to SUM:NOTES communications, your email address and related subscription information will be processed by MailerLite, the email service I use to manage subscriptions and send communications.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in SUM:NOTES emails.

Payments

Payments for coaching services may be handled through Stripe, including Stripe Invoicing. Stripe may collect and process payment and billing information in accordance with its own privacy practices and policies.

Cookies and analytics

SUM:NOTES does not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or a separate third-party analytics service.

The SUM:NOTES website may use technologies that are necessary for the website or its services to function. Third-party services integrated with SUM:NOTES may also use cookies or similar technologies in accordance with their own policies.

If SUM:NOTES begins using analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.

How long I keep information

I retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, communicate with you, maintain appropriate business and financial records, and meet applicable legal or other obligations.

Different types of information may be retained for different periods depending on why the information was collected and any applicable legal or business requirements.

When information is no longer needed, I may delete or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.

Third-party services may retain information according to their own policies and retention practices.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information.

You may unsubscribe from SUM:NOTES email communications at any time.

SUM:NOTES is intended for adults. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

When I make changes, I will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
